10 Internet Marketing SEO Tips and Tools
Internet marketing, Tips and Tricks, Tutorials Add commentsA really huge thank you to Karen for the opportunity to share some of the tips I’ve learned about SEO on my way to creating a successful online business.
Internet marketing SEO is really quite easy. My favorite SEO Tips are listed below. The goal is to have people be able to find
you when they type in their question, product or topic in a search box. Often, people type in a specific product name or a question. For this article the search word is SEO tips with 137 searches a day. By having the title be the search word, it improves the probability that the searcher will find you.
Here are my favorite SEO tips.
1) Use a keyword in your title. I like to use
freekeywords.wordtracker.com to get the Title tag. I wrote an article on my blog on how to get a keyword rich title for your blog post.
2) Use the search term again in the first two sentences of the article or blog post.
3) Rename images to mean something to the Google bot and add alt text for images using market samuri or word tracker to get the keywords. Add watermarks to videos and pictures in the owner field so as they get distributed they will have links in them and they will count as incoming links. It is also a good idea to use the longdesc=” “ for images filled with keywords and even dates like 2009. This is because often users search by date.
4) Use h1 and h2 once each on each page, use h3 and h4 for keywords, use H1 one time use H2 one time (mock h1) use H3 for many headers, use H4 as a turbo <p>
5) Use h1 { text-indent: -9999px; } (this will take a h1 off the page yet will be there for bots and readers)
6) The title tag is very important for search engine and informing the searcher what to expect. The Title tag is what shows up in blue bar on top of the web page. The Title tag should be 10 – 12 words and optimized with keywords and details.
7) Add a meta description to web site for line 2 of search results vs. blog may pull the two lines from the about us page.
8) Use clean code without frames and popups. This is the only way to beat Yelp and Yellow pages. Be sure to use escape characters in your title tag like | for |.
9) Whenever possible link from your blog post to another blog post you have to create internal links. SEO comes down to clean code, interesting fresh content and incoming links. Be sure to use keyword anchor text in your internal links also.
10) I like to find blogs and forums that have “Do Follow” for the comments. A couple I know of are clayfranklin.com and lynnterryelite.com. Then do not always link to your home page. Mix it up a bit and link to specific pages on the site using at least part of the post title with some keywords like http://clayfranklin.com/272/lynn-terry-sswt-elite-internet-marketing

Another option that should be considered is starting an Internet home business. Affiliate marketing continues to grow on the Internet and people are making serious money from home. The key to success is to consider your business as another income stream opportunity.

Yes affiliate marketing can be a waste of time and money if you don’t make the right choices. It is easy to enroll as a affiliate of an affiliate internet marketing business or program that does not provide you with a marketable product or the support that you require.
